Lentera Ilmu is a journalpeer-review. This journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) which addresses all aspects of publication ethics and, in particular, how to handle cases of research and publication misconduct. This statement clarifies the ethical behavior of all parties involved in the act of publishing articles in this journal, including the author, Editor-in-Chief, Editorial Board, peer-reviewers, and publisher.

Lantera Ilmu is dedicated to following best practices in matters of ethics, misconduct, and retraction. Prevention of publication malpractice is one of the important responsibilities of the editorial board. Any kind of unethical behavior is unacceptable, and the journal does not tolerate plagiarism in any form.

Lentera Ilmu adapts COPE to meet high quality ethical standards for publishers, editors, authors, and reviewers. As an important issue, publication ethics needs to be clearly explained to improve the quality of research worldwide. In this section, we describe standards for editors, authors, and reviewers. The publisher has no right to compromise the integrity of the content and only supports timely publication.

For Editors

1. Based on the editorial review board's review report, the editor may accept, reject, or request modifications to the manuscript.
2. The editor is responsible for every article published in Lentera Ilmu
3. The editor can communicate with other editors or reviewers in making final decisions.
4. An editor must evaluate a manuscript objectively for publication, assessing its quality without regard to the author's nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation. He must decline assignments if there is a potential conflict of interest.
5. Editors need to ensure that documents sent to reviewers do not contain author information, and vice versa.
6. The editor's decision must be informed to the author accompanied by the reviewer's comments unless they contain offensive or defamatory comments.
7. The editor should honor the author's request that someone not review the manuscript, if this is reasonable and practicable.
8. Editors and all staff must guarantee the confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
9. Editors will be guided by the COPE flowchart in cases of suspected infringement or authorship disputes.

 For Reviewers

1. Reviewers need to comment on ethical questions and possible research and publication misconduct.
2. Reviewers will complete their work on time and must notify the editor if they cannot complete their work.
3. Reviewers need to maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript.
4. Reviewers cannot accept manuscript reviews that have a potential conflict of interest between them and any author.

For Writers

1. The authors confirm that the material has not been previously published and that they have not transferred any rights to the article elsewhere.
2. The author must ensure the authenticity of his work and have cited other people's work correctly according to the reference format.
3. Authors must not commit plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
4. Authors must ensure that they follow the authorship criteria taken from Lentera Ilmu as described in the instructions for Lentera Ilmu authors
5. Authors may not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Authors are also expected not to publish excessive manuscripts or manuscripts that describe the same research in more than one journal.
6. Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, conduct or interpretation of the research being reported. Other parties who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. The author also ensures that all authors have seen and approved the submitted version of the manuscript and the inclusion of their names as co-authors.
7. The author has not suggested any personal information that would make the patient's identity identifiable in the form of any description, photograph, or genealogy.
8. The author must provide the editor with the data and details of his work, if there is any suspicion of falsification or falsification of the data.
9. If at any time, the author discovers significant errors or inaccuracies in the submitted manuscript, then the errors or inaccuracies must be reported to the editor.
