Jurnal Pemikiran Pengembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan (JPPIP) is a peer-reviewed journal that follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), which covers all aspects of publication ethics, particularly in handling research and publication misconduct. This statement establishes the ethical standards that must be upheld by all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, the Editor-in-Chief, the Editorial Board, peer reviewers, and the publisher.
Jurnal Pemikiran Pengembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan (JPPIP) is committed to implementing best practices in publication ethics, preventing academic misconduct, and addressing article retractions when necessary. Preventing publication malpractice is one of the primary responsibilities of the editorial board. The journal does not tolerate plagiarism in any form and strictly prohibits unethical academic practices.
To maintain high ethical standards, Jurnal Pemikiran Pengembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan (JPPIP) adopts COPE guidelines, which are intended for publishers, editors, authors, and reviewers. Publication ethics is a crucial aspect that must be enforced to improve the quality of research worldwide. The publisher has no authority to alter or compromise the integrity of the published content and is only responsible for ensuring a timely publication process.
Ethical Standards for Editors
- Based on the review report from the Editorial Board, the editor has the right to accept, reject, or request revisions to the submitted manuscript.
- The editor is responsible for every article published in Jurnal Pemikiran Pengembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan (JPPIP).
- In making final decisions, the editor may coordinate with other editors or reviewers.
- The editor must evaluate manuscripts objectively, without considering the author's nationality, ethnicity, political beliefs, race, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation. If there is a potential conflict of interest, the editor must withdraw from the review process.
- The editor must ensure that author information is not included in the documents sent to reviewers, and vice versa.

Ethical Standards for Reviewers
- Reviewers must provide comments on ethical issues and possible research and publication misconduct.
- Reviewers must complete their review within the assigned timeframe and inform the editor if they are unable to complete their work on time.
- Reviewers must maintain the confidentiality of the manuscript.
- Reviewers must not accept review assignments if there is a potential conflict of interest with any of the authors.
Ethical Standards for Authors
- Authors must ensure that the submitted manuscript has not been previously published or is not under consideration for publication in another journal.
- Authors must guarantee the originality of their work and properly cite other sources according to the reference format specified by the journal.
- Authors must not engage in plagiarism or self-plagiarism.
- Authors must meet the authorship criteria set by Jurnal Pemikiran Pengembangan Ilmu Pengetahuan (JPPIP), as described in the author guidelines.
- Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously. Additionally, they are expected not to engage in excessive publication or publish the same research findings in more than one journal.
