Author Guidelines
Authors must submit manuscripts electronically through the Jurnal Pengabdian dan Praksis Masyarakat Sosial (JP2MS). online submission platform. Every submitted manuscript should strictly follow the guidelines provided to maintain consistency, quality, and clarity of the published articles. Authors bear full responsibility for any inaccuracies or mistakes contained within the manuscripts.
Instructions for Authors
- Submitted manuscripts must be original works, previously unpublished, and must not currently be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- The journal accepts articles reporting community service activities, implementation of appropriate science and technology, conceptual analyses, theoretical applications, reflective practices, or critical reviews related to social, economic, health, humanities, or technological fields relevant to community engagement.
- Manuscripts can be written in either Indonesian or English, using Arial font size 10, 1.15 spacing, in a single-column format.
- Each manuscript must include an abstract of approximately 200–250 words in both Indonesian and English.
- The English abstract should be presented in italic format, Arial font size 10. Titles, abstracts, and keywords must appear in both Indonesian and English.
- Abstracts should briefly highlight background issues, objectives, methods or approaches, main findings, novelty or originality, and key conclusions.
- Authors' names must be listed without academic titles. For manuscripts authored by teams or multiple authors, editorial correspondence will be directed only to the primary author or first-listed author.
- Manuscripts must adhere to the following structure:
- Introduction: Clearly describes the background of the problem, brief literature review, objectives of the community engagement or research, and its practical benefits to the community.
- Methods: Provides detailed explanations of procedures, research approaches, sources and techniques of data collection, and analytical methods employed in the community activity or research.
- Results and Discussion: Presents key findings or impacts of the activity clearly, including thorough, systematic, and relevant discussion of results.
- Conclusion: Provides concise summaries addressing the objectives clearly and effectively.
- References: Alphabetically arranged using APA citation style.
- Authors are encouraged to use Mendeley software for managing references efficiently.
- Review articles (literature reviews) should be between 7–10 pages, written in Indonesian or English.
- Book review manuscripts should include book identification, author's biography, introduction, detailed discussion, and conclusions or closing remarks.
- References used in the manuscript must primarily come from recent scientific publications (within the last 10 years), such as journal articles, research reports, or relevant academic texts.
- JP2MS adopts an in-text citation style (author, year).
- Manuscripts must not have been previously published elsewhere, nor simultaneously submitted to other journals or media outlets.
- Manuscripts must be free from plagiarism, data manipulation, falsification, or other unethical academic practices.
- Authors must ensure that the manuscript complies fully with the JP2MS writing style guidelines.
